Riverbend Inn & Vineyard
Just outside one of the prettiest towns in Canada, along one of the most scenic roads anywhere in the world, stands a Georgian mansion surrounded by 12 acres of vineyards, manicured lawns and gardens, and only minutes from the old town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Built in 1820, the Riverbend surrounds guests with history and elegance: crystal chandeliers, period designed furniture and surroundings of grandeur amongst 17 acres.
The vineyard was planted in 2002 and consists of blocks of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Vidal. The Riverbend Inn vineyard sits in a sub-appellation called the Niagara River. It is one of 10 sub-appellations that make up Niagara’s wine region. Identified for its greater heat units in a season and incredibly rich sandy soils, this micro region translates into fantastic wines.
